We wish we could have recorded Carmen just a couple years ago - check out her singing on the sepia video below, which we recorded in 2007. Carmen is now suffering from kidney disease and is receiving dialysis treatment, and she doesn't hit every high note the way she once did effortlessly. Perhaps this adds a note of poignancy to this song of longing. |
